Coastal Structures, analysis and design

Beacon Design Incorporated offers a wide portfolio of professional coastal structures analysis and design services such as life-cycle analysis, new design formulae, seismic response, liquefaction, scour, filtration and  structure loadings. We deal with all types of breakwaters and shore protection structures and systems (seawave generator, flap gates, lab tests and techniques, numerical models (SPH, BEM, VOF, Boussinesq). This includes new construction and monitoring technologies, submerged structures, biological habitat, economic issues and damage and repair analysis.

Following are some of the services that we offer:

  • Breakwater design and construction: design approaches and standards, harbour design and construction, coastal bridges, jetties & piers, floating breakwaters and wave screens, innovative materials, geotechnical aspects: scour and liquefaction, rock and berm breakwaters, breakwater damage and repair and performance design methods.
  • Shore protection: shore protection systems, coastal defence and management, field measurements and port management, dikes and dunes, ecological effects, storm surge barriers, surge and flooding risk.
  • Hydraulic performance: submerged and low crested structures, wall loading, wave impacts, wave-structure interaction, numerical modeling of wave propagation,  wave reflection and transmission, numerical simulation of wave-structure interaction, design waves, extreme events and climate change.

The Beacon Design Incorporated coastal structures analysis and design team provides expertise to the extent needed to accomplish any set of project goals. Through our careful market analysis, appropriate engineering and scientific investigation, thoughtful material selection, and responsive operation, Beacon Design International can be relied upon for successful development of the most complex coastal structures analysis and design projects.
